Standing at the bow of the Fire Nation ship, Prince Zuko looked out across the water with a frown. To some, this should be a moment to celebrate. After having shamed himself before his father and the royal court, Zuko was given the chance to regain his honor by seeking out and capturing the newly reawakened Avatar. Why then was he in such a foul mood? One word.

Azula.

It seems that, even though reports from their spies stated that the Avatar was little more than a child, the task was far too important to leave entirely in Zuko's hands so he'd sent Azula to 'aid' him. They'd been out of port for little more than ten minutes before she'd effectively intimidated those under Zuko's command and usurped authority from him. This was to be his mission. His chance for glory. His chance to finally prove to his father that he wasn't weak or worthless. Now, Azula was taking it away, just like she took all of father's praise.

He slams his fist against the arching bit of black metal that extends from the front of the ship. It hurts, but he doesn't mind it. The pain helps him to clear his head. He'll find some way of regaining some semblance of control over this situation. Of course, thinking that and know how are two totally different things. If only Unkle Iroh had come instead. He was seen as just as worthless by the Firelord, but at least he was kind to Zuko. He was the only person since his mother left.
