Living with someone made you more aware of their various quirks and habits, lending itself to an intimacy that few other experiences could bring about. Of course, it could easily have gone the other way too, if your roommate turned out to be a psycho or slob. Fortunately, the random roulette of the college dormitory match-up game rolled well for Kuranosuke and Soo-won. Outwardly, they would seem nothing alike, but as it turned out, they were weirdly compatible. Soo-won didn't mind Kuranosuke's bluntness and dry antisocial nature, and seemed to know exactly when to keep his distance and when to push in. Kuranosuke didn't quite understand the smiles and the pleasantries Soo-won often put on, but came to realize there was something much more interesting on the inside. There was a darkness there, an ambition and the drive to follow through that he appreciated.
As he walked to the kitchen, he paused for a moment to glance back at his ex-roommate, who was making himself quite at home on his couch with the take-out.
"And you, I would guess, didn't come here to relax either," Kuranosuke said with a snort. There was a trace of a grin on his face before turned back to prepare the coffee.
