Rasu has to laugh a bit at the description.

"I think it's fun. It'll come back quick. You ever do anything like that? I mean not martial arts, obviously, but running, weights, stuff like that?"

Mizuki clearly keeps a trim form, but that's possibly just from a lean diet. He does have a rather tight schedule, so Rasu doesn't imagine there's much physical activity going on for the sake of leisure-- and perhaps not even much for the sake of exercise.

"Hn," Mizuki says with a slight raise of the eyebrow. Okay, so Mizuki isn't exactly a in fighting form, but was it that obvious?

"I play tennis, sometimes." He likes the sport. It's energizing, classy, strategic. An elegant sort of exercise, he thinks.

"But I haven't been on a court in a while."

"Oh yeah? That sounds fun, how long have you been playing?"

[realisateur]

"Since junior high," Mizuki replies, with a slightly proud nod. Like with everything he endeavors, he put effort into it, and it paid off - sort of. His team did quite well, if not as well as he might have aspired.

"Do you play?"

Junior high! That would be well over a decade. Mizuki must be pretty good to have that much experience.

"Never tried!" He exclaims with a laugh. "I could see myself having fun with it, though. What do you like about it?"

[realisateur]

"It takes some bit of skill and athleticism," he says, putting a finger on his chin with a thoughtful expression.

"I can show you how to play sometime, if you like," he finds himself saying.

That was an invitation Rasu did not see coming, a fact that made it all the more warming to hear.

"Sure, I'd love to! Lemme know when would be a good time for you... I know how busy you are." Briefly, Rasu felt a fleeting worry about completely embarrassing himself again on the tennis court, like he did with the glass of water, but excitement over the chance to try something new with a friend buried the thought within seconds.

"Oh."

Honestly, Mizuki is somewhat surprised by Rasu's enthusiasm. Maybe they can forget about the awkward blind date situation after all?

"Very well. There is a court not too far from the studio. Perhaps some time after work?"

(Also, let us assume that he has directed them to the rail station platform by now, having added both of their fares onto his account).

"Sounds good! Anything I should bring? Like, do I need my own racket?"

(Agreed!)

"I have a spare. Just wear good running shoes. I assume you have some?" Mizuki has a feeling that athletic wear is quite common in Rasu's wardrobe.

The monorail pulls up with a swoosh, and they step on. The city lights whizz by with lightning speed as they accelerate to the rail's maximum speed.

"Oh yeah," Rasu answers easily. Athletic shoes would not be a problem at all.

"What day should I plan for?"

[realisateur]

"I'll have to consult the calendar. We do have some deadlines coming up in the next week or two. But I'm sure there's a day in there somewhere."

Mizuki is a busy guy, but that doesn't mean he can't set aside an hour or two for leisure.

"Cool. So I'll come bug you after work and see what's clear? I want an official day!"
