It would probably annoy Akaya to know how exhausting his brother finds it to have a normal conversation with him...especially since he's the one who decided to show up at this hour on his doorstep. (Though how else he could've found him is another story). It's not as though Akaya enjoys serious discussions either. In fact, he tends to be light-hearted and casual most of the time. But as always, his brother seems to be an exception. And for some reason, he didn't want to go to bed tonight pissed off and hurt. Not when Jae-ha is under his roof.
"...."
He mulls over Jae-ha's answer for a moment before he slides into the armchair next to the sofa. It's weird, trying to get to know your brother all over again.
The question strikes Jae-ha as bizarre. Does Akaya think he can't manage bacon and eggs with toast? Living on your own means either 24/7 ordering out or you learn a few kitchen skills. And while the former is certainly a preference, sometimes you just have to make do with what you have on-hand.
"What do you eat, a three-course gourmet spread? The basics aren't hard."
Akaya grunts only in response and then pulls out his comm to check messages. He sends off a few late night texts to Omi, scans through some social media feeds. He means to get up and go to bed but ends up crashing right there in the armchair, fast asleep.

"Since when do you cook?"

Akaya snorts.
"I usually just have coffee."
But you know, as long as you're offering...
"I might want some tamagoyaki though. With grated radish."
Not too complicated, right? It's just a very precise and intricate egg dish you need a special pan for. Good old homestyle Japanese comfort food.
Yeah. He's a brat.

It's ok, he's not taking you seriously either.

Don't think you can fool Akaya. He knows the difference.
"And I dunno. When I wake up." Fortunately, he doesn't have any appointments in the morning.
