"Agree to have my picture taken. Smarty pants," Kimina answered with a smile at the corner of her mouth. She always did appreciate a wit, and maybe especially one that aimed that wit at her; it was fun to get into banter contests. She'd never gotten into one with Yukimi before... possibly she'd been too focused on academics, and hadn't paid her social life much mind at all in college. That might have been a shame on the whole, considering college was supposed to be where you made your lifelong friends.
"I'm surprised you remember the class. You have a better memory than I do, Yukimi-san."
And Kimina had a sharp memory by and large: names, faces, deadlines, birthdays, locations... it was an asset that had served her well through her school years, helping her test scores and especially her in-class debates. It was critical there to remember not just everything said and everything desired in the rebuttal but details about news, course material, and other items of relevance to the subject of the debate. Matching a random classmate out of hundreds she'd learned with to one of the dozens of classes she'd taken years ago, however, was beyond her capacity. It was impressive that Yukimi could hang on to such an obscure and distant detail.
