"Hey. Fancy seeing you here." Yukimi lowered his camera and tapped his chin with his finger thoughtfully. "Econ 101, Professor Dumbledore?" The name was made-up, of course. Yukimi named all his profs funny names, because it was hard enough to sit through their boring lectures. Dumbledore wasn't half bad though, even if he did look like an ancient benevolent wizard under his cloud of salt and pepper hair.

"I'm surprised you remember the class. You have a better memory than I do, Yukimi-san."
And Kimina had a sharp memory by and large: names, faces, deadlines, birthdays, locations... it was an asset that had served her well through her school years, helping her test scores and especially her in-class debates. It was critical there to remember not just everything said and everything desired in the rebuttal but details about news, course material, and other items of relevance to the subject of the debate. Matching a random classmate out of hundreds she'd learned with to one of the dozens of classes she'd taken years ago, however, was beyond her capacity. It was impressive that Yukimi could hang on to such an obscure and distant detail.

Maybe the only reason he remembered her face was because she was one of the very few people in the class who actually paid Dumbledore any attention. Econ 101 was a basic core class, which meant it threw a bunch of bored college kids into huge lecture hall to teach them things they would much rather not be learning.

"How is life as a reporter?" It must have taken a lot of work for Yukimi to secure that position; journalism was fiercely competitive. But in its own way, it seemed like something that could be fun as well. Or at the very least, exciting.

He raised his cup of coffee with a satisfied look. "Plus I get to try all the hip new places on someone else's dime. What about you? What are you up to since our good old days of college debauchery?"

"Debauchery? I'm not sure what your college years were like, Yukimi-san. Mine were too full of books and papers for hedonistic escapades-- admittedly to the detriment of the experience. I've since found work as a business analyst. I do research and consulting for firms on their profit strategies. It's thoroughly boring to most people."
