For someone with such humble beginnings, Yun could seem incredibly picky while out shopping. It wasn't that he refused to eat or wear less than the very best-- he simply refused to spend precious funds on anything less than well worth the investment. As a result, he had a discerning eye for quality and value. Monsieur V was one of the higher-end stores, which made it a favored place to browse.

That was one of the things he appreciated about Mizuki: he knew taste. Fine dining, fine clothing, fine appreciation for culture. And he took care of himself. It was depressingly hard to find people their age who did, especially on all fronts.

He brought a hand to his chin in thought at Mizuki's question, his eyes on the mirror.

"It's a good match for you. It complements your skin tone." Mizuki did tend to do rather well in purples as a rule.

See, this why Mizuki brought Yun along. Not everyone had the eye for this sort of thing, and men especially tended to lack sartorial appreciation. Yun wasn't exactly the most fashionable type, but he was practical. And practical meant he could sniff out quality things that could be mixed and matched tastefully with many things. For solid staples in his wardrobe, Mizuki trusted Yun to recognize the best.

"Nfu. Yes, I thought so," Mizuki said with a proud nod. He eyed Yun in the mirror, scrutinizing his appearance.

"You should get something. A young doctor ought to have a go-to outfit for functions, should he not?"

"I suppose he should," Yun agreed, with some hesitation. He was reluctant to spend money on something he didn't know for sure he'd need soon. On the other hand, who wanted to go on a last minute goose chase for a nice suit? It was stressful, and harder to find the right match on sale.

He skimmed the suit wall for colors, knowing that soft, light shades served him better than bolds and darks. Gray and white didn't look very good on him, either. This made it easy to eliminate quite a few of the suits. He made his way over to the light and medium khakis and flipped through looking for his size.

A minute later, he stopped and pulled one from the rack, holding it up a bit for Mizuki to see and give his thoughts on.

Luckily for Yun, this is exactly the sort of thing that's Mizuki's expertise. He works in the movies too, so he's seen it all. People try to keep up with the latest styles, but Mizuki knows what is timeless and classic. Trends are fine and all, but they don't always suit everyone in the same way.

He nods approvingly as Yun picks something that's simple but not devoid of style.

"It's a good color on you. But I think ..." he pauses here and flips through the stuff on the rack before pulling out another similar jacket that's cut a little differently (Italian cut, double vented, sleek and less padded, optimal for a more fitted look) and one size smaller. "This one will fit you better."

Yun looks at the one he pulled and then at the one Mizuki did to compare the two.

"You may be right."

Yun replaces the first suit on the rack and walks over to Mizuki's selection. He can match for color, but knowing the fashionable styles and the specific cuts and finer details that most flatter are out of his expertise. That kind of selection simply hadn't been available to him for very long.

And he immediately looks for the tag to check the price. What he finds makes him pull a face.

"I don't know about that one...!"
