"Good. I mean, I'm glad." Even with the police looking for the perpetrator, he still felt uneasy being out in the world alone, knowing that the guy was still out there, somehow. Hopefully this was a passing feeling for just that night, because he prided himself on his independence.
"I will pay for your fare, of course," he says as they make their way out of the studio lot and turn toward the rail station down the block.
"I suppose I could reschedule your shoot to the afternoon," Mizuki says with exaggeration. Of course Rasu ought to take the morning. Mizuki can be a bit of a task-master when they have deadlines, but he can make exceptions in certain situations. And this one is most definitely a peculiar one.
He himself, will be there first thing. Not only because he's the director and has to oversee everything, but also because it's his way of getting over a trauma. It happens after break-ups, too. Some of his most productive times are after relationships end. He dives into the work and forgets everything else. Or tries to.
They reach the station and his feel automatically take them in the direction of his platform, up the east ramp.
Rasu grins. That almost sounds like a tease-- a welcomed one.
"Well that's very flexible of you. Much obliged."
It's a welcomed permission, too. Especially with his alarm getting left in the studio-- ironic after that special trip out so late at night just to try to get it back. But there were more important things to deal with.
He follows Mizuki up the ramp.
"I don't suppose you'll be doing the same for yourself?"
"No, I'm due back at the studio for special effects editing, and some other things." He makes a mental note to shift things around to the morning, having moved Rasu's shoot to later on.
"...what will you do with your morning off?"
What does Rasu do with his time off? He's not certain they really talked about such things in their date-gone-wrong.
The idea that he'd take the morning off but Mizuki wouldn't when Mizuki was the one attacked doesn't sit right with Rasu. It feels backwards, and he wonders if he shouldn't have asked after all. Without his alarm there was no way he'd be up in time, but maybe that was a pretty lame excuse. On the other hand, it wasn't just his alarm in that thing. No one would be able to call him, either.
"Sleep?" Rasu offered with a laugh, but he knows his extra time in bed will be more limited than he wishes, and shrugs.
"I'll probably take my dog for a run, get some breakfast and practice. I haven't done anything with my bo in a while-- I don't wanna get rusty."
Rasu will get a delivery later that morning via drone courier: the device he'd left behind at the studio, along with a package of cold pressed juices in fancy glass jars from an organic cafe that Mizuki sometimes stops into near work. The memo accompanying the delivery will simply say, 'Thank you. -Mizuki.'
"That sounds rather vigorous.." he says, for lack of a better word. "Is this the sort of thing that comes back to you, with practice?"
"I think it's fun. It'll come back quick. You ever do anything like that? I mean not martial arts, obviously, but running, weights, stuff like that?"
Mizuki clearly keeps a trim form, but that's possibly just from a lean diet. He does have a rather tight schedule, so Rasu doesn't imagine there's much physical activity going on for the sake of leisure-- and perhaps not even much for the sake of exercise.
"Since junior high," Mizuki replies, with a slightly proud nod. Like with everything he endeavors, he put effort into it, and it paid off - sort of. His team did quite well, if not as well as he might have aspired.
That was an invitation Rasu did not see coming, a fact that made it all the more warming to hear.
"Sure, I'd love to! Lemme know when would be a good time for you... I know how busy you are." Briefly, Rasu felt a fleeting worry about completely embarrassing himself again on the tennis court, like he did with the glass of water, but excitement over the chance to try something new with a friend buried the thought within seconds.

"You don't have to be so formal! It's cool, I don't mind the fare. It's worth it." Easily.
"Although, I might beg for a bit of lenience if my feet fail to get the rest of me out of bed in the morning."

"I play tennis, sometimes." He likes the sport. It's energizing, classy, strategic. An elegant sort of exercise, he thinks.
"But I haven't been on a court in a while."

"Never tried!" He exclaims with a laugh. "I could see myself having fun with it, though. What do you like about it?"

"I can show you how to play sometime, if you like," he finds himself saying.

Honestly, Mizuki is somewhat surprised by Rasu's enthusiasm. Maybe they can forget about the awkward blind date situation after all?
"Very well. There is a court not too far from the studio. Perhaps some time after work?"
(Also, let us assume that he has directed them to the rail station platform by now, having added both of their fares onto his account).

(Agreed!)

The monorail pulls up with a swoosh, and they step on. The city lights whizz by with lightning speed as they accelerate to the rail's maximum speed.

"What day should I plan for?"

Mizuki is a busy guy, but that doesn't mean he can't set aside an hour or two for leisure.
